Miss Universe 2013 first runner-up Patricia Yurena is expecting a baby. She shared the good news on her Instagram.

Yurena represented Spain in Miss Universe 2013 pageant that was held in Russia. Gabriela Isler won at the end of the contest. She competed with Miss Philippines, Ariella Arida, whom she considered as one of her close friends in the competition.

In August 2014, Rodríguez came out as a lesbian through her Instagram account, publicizing her romantic relationship with Spanish DJ Vanesa Klein. Her decision to come out sparked international headlines, with Rodríguez becoming the first major national pageant titleholder to be openly LGBT, and the first LGBT woman to have competed in one of the major international beauty pageants.
