"I have seen a lot of evil behavior (destroying the dresses). I confirmed this," Nemer said during her interview with pageant blogger Kike Sanchez.
"I also know that the candidates did not want to say anything to Miss Universe. I did witness the evil behavior. I saw nasty behaviors against lots of the candidates. What a shame!
"You will be semifinalist even if you have broken dresses. I also believe that I am a good person and I could not believe what was happening but since it happened the first nasty behavior of destroying the dresses the organization was checking all the candidates more and more," she said.
Nemer did not make the first cut but she was announced as the first-ever winner of the Miss Universe Impact Award, presented by Invisi Smart. CEO of Invisi Smart Saba Yussouff presented the award to Nemer for her work advancing urban cultivation to eradicate hunger and food insecurity. She received 10,000 USD to finance her project.
