She is the first Filipina to compete in Miss Aura International pageant.

On the 16th edition of Miss Aura International pageant, the Philippines will be represented by 28 year old pageant veteran Alexandra Faith Garcia.

During the virtual-send off yesterday, Garcia said she is 100% ready to take the first Miss Aura International crown for the country.

Alexandra Faith Garcia answers questions from the press during the online send-off on Tuesday, September 14.

"I really prepared for this competition. I recently joined another pageant (Bb. Pilipinas 2020). Parang yun na ang pinaka main training ko. It has been one and a half year so I know that I'm really ready. Miss Aura International is looking for 4Bs which are Beauty, Brain, Body and Behavior. I think and I believe that I really embody those 4Bs that they are looking for in the next Miss Aura International," said Garcia during the online send-off.

She is set to leave Manila on September 18. The competition will start on September 20 and the coronation night will be on October 3 at Rixos Sungate Resorts, Antalya City, Turkey.

As a precautionary measures, she is now in quarantine before the flight to protect her from COVID-19. As part of travel requirement, she will also be having COVID-19 test even if she is fully vaccinated. Upon arrival in Turkey, she and her co-delegates will not undergo quarantine but the organization assures the safety of the attendees.

More than 40 international beauties are expected to compete. The pageant was established in 2006 by the Turkish business tycoon Adnan Seker.

The Top 5 winners will receive prizes such as monetary awards. Special titles will also receive gifts like trip to the Rixos Hotel for participants and family members, gifts from sponsors, fur products, fur coats, jewelry, cooperation with leading brands and model agencies in Turkey and abroad.

This is her first international pageant and she wants to show the best of the Philippines for her last pageant as well.

"I really want them to remember Philippines based sa mga dadalhin ko, sa susuotin ko. Lahat ng mga gagamitin ko will really represent the Philippines like from my wardrobe and from the designers. Talagang we really topped up the best of the best para talagang mapakita natin kung ano yung talent, kung anong meron tayo sa Philippines. Kaya super excited akong mapakita sa inyo ang mga OOTD (outfit of the day) ko.

Faith's official gown designer is Cathy-Mora Capistrano. Her national costume was made by Jorick Lopez Limpag.

Also present at the virtual send-off is the Kagandahang Flores (KF) Head Honcho and one of Garcia's mentors, Rodgil Flores.

"The time has come kasi hinog na hinog na talaga si Faith. Yung preparation for Binibini lasted for one and a half years. Mas confident siya kasi talaga. Palaban yung walk but very feminine na na-emphasize talaga yung curves, yung body ni Faith. I'm sure  more than 100% ang ibibigay ni Faith," said Flores during the online press conference.

Flores addressed Garcia and said, "Faith I'm very happy sa nangyari sa'yo. Tunay ngang tatak KF ka. Laban KF stands for not only 'Kagandahang Flores' but 'Keep the Faith'. Keep on praying and keep on believing in yourself dahil marami kaming naniniwala sa'yo. Lahat kami we will be praying and supporting you as you compete in Turkey for Miss Aura International. We love you Faith."
