She was first runner-up in both Miss Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges 2018 Binibining Niyogyugan-Quezon Province 2019 regional pageant.

Ira met some pageant press during her intimate meet and greet event on Saturday, July 9.

She revealed in an interview that she was hesitant at first in joining Bb. Pilipinas knowing this is a prestigious pageant aside from being financially demanding.  On why she joined, she said, "I believe God called me to do this. I believe this is my calling. I'm just doing and enjoying this journey because I know God will do everything for me," she said.

She loves to speak up and voice out her thoughts. Coming from a broken family, she had experienced a lot of challenges growing up. She wanted to share these stories and inspire a lot of people through this platform.
