Former Miss Universe Philippines 2022 candidate Gracelle Nicole Distura will represent the country in the 10th Supermodel International finals on September 15, 2022 in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Distura was handpicked by the Spotlight Couronne International Inc., a personality development training camp and production company based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
During her send-off press conference held on September 5 at Corte Ibiza Super Club in Tomas Morato, Quezon City, she revealed that she was shocked and surprised of her appointment but grateful at the same time.
"I'm just very grateful. The news came to me right after I graduated from college. This has been a huge blessing to me that I cannot say no to. I love pageantry, I love modelling," she said to press.
The 22-year old beauty hails from Lucena City, Quezon Province. She is a fresh graduate of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation with a degree of Bachelor of Culture and Arts Education.
She competed in various schools and provincial pageants such as Miss Enverga 2022 and Binibining Quezon 2022. Last April, she represented Quezon Province in Miss Universe Philippines 2022 which she made in the Top 31.
Also in attendance during the send-off press conference are Meg Perez (Operations Manager of Spotlight Couronne International and Supermodel International Philippines), Shallemar Pornobi (Representative of Spotlight Couronne International and Managing Director of Supermodel International Philippines), and Rodgil Flores (Kagandahang Flores Founder and Trainer).
Standing at 5'7" tall, she will be wearing creations of Quezonian designers.
On why she should win the competition, she said, " I deserved it because I've been working hard for it ever since I was a teenager. I was young and I have a dream. Every dream doesn't require you to just dream one day and when you wake up you are Supermodel International. It means doing hard work everything that you can to deserve it. Just sit back and watch our performance as I represent our country in Thailand.”
