Dindi Pajares is no longer candidate no. 22 in Miss World Philippines 2021 pageant as she is the newly appointed Miss Supranational Philippines 2021.
The announcement and the crowning moment was made by the national franchise holder of Miss Supranational Philippines, Arnold Vegafria in front of the other candidates on July 24, 2021.
Vegafria clarified that the selection was made by the candidates. The others who made in the shortlist are contestant no. 38 Kathleen Paton, contestant no. 11 Megan Campbell and contestant no. 28 Ruffa Nuva.
The MWP 2021 finals has been scheduled to August 8 from the original date, July 25 due to the sudden announcement of IATF with the heightened restrictions in Metro Manila from July 23-31, 2021.
The organization has left with no choice but to appoint Miss Supranational Philippines since the international pageant will be held from August 3-21, 2021 in Poland.
Dindi answered few questions right after the surprised announcement.
"I've been joining (pageants) since I was 10. I joined a lot of beauty pageants in the Philippines and I think that I'm good in pasarela, I'm good at doing my own makeup. I'm really good and I have a nice personality and I know how to answer Q&A with personality. This is something that the world should witness in Poland," Dindi said when asked what are her best assets to win the Miss Supranational crown.
Arnold Vegafria is confident that Pajares will win the international competition.
"I think she is already prepared. The way I look at it now, you're really prepared. From the very beginning I saw you among the candidates and the requirements of Miss Supranational is in you," Vegafria's message to Pajares.
Dindi will depart for Poland on August 3.
